Questions about Gaza, Song For Gaza

Whattaaaaa!!!

Whattaaaaa!!!

What the hell another war are people doing in Gaza again? And what the hell are people doing with all this crap as they also only talking and talking being busy of asking why people are doing this and that which actually only trying to find who is wrong or right at the end? Or even maybe only use this as another fucking study?? You would end up with another question such as is it about land or religion? Is it about economy power or power of legitimacy? And at the final end, there you go the classics questions: WHY ARE THEY DOING THAT????
Have you ever thought of what others with emphaty can do to help the suffered people as victims or whatsoever you call them as a refugee?
What can I do to help? What can you do to help? Is it going to the war as you call it Jihad as the answer? (so re you doing it for religion reasons or another “help” for a land claim?) Or even another social act as you name it medical help is the only answer?
Gosh…I dunno what to say…but seems peace are so far away from us, even in the world of no physics war surround us. Even the biggest emphaty and biggest help in any ways are never enough to express how we care about it.
But some people are believing small collected acts are big helps, hence I just want to upload this link <www.michaelheart.com>.

A link of an unsigned singer and songwriter named Michael Heart that came up with a heartfully sincere will to express his emphatic through a song “We Will Not Go Down (A Song For Gaza)”. Click here to listen to the song.

Look, here is the deal, regardless what your color and religion are, regardless who is wrong or right, regardless whatever fucking politics matters are happening behind the stage, link on his website and you can help victims of Gaza war, by at least campaigning some social acts that he also helps, or even you can donate from other link he mentions there. It’s all just started by a single click on his link, all started by a song. A song for Gaza.

And what do I get? The questions back to you, why you click on it? And what do you get by helping people?

Me? I’m just another emphaty that believe small collected acts do some helps.

Help Wulan’s Project

In my organization, IIWC, I could say that we link people with less opportunities to others who has more through international voluntary service. In some projects we work directly with them, some others we link to some local partners to assist our volunteers work with them for the needy.

As last year I was engaged in a friendship to a friend from Czech Republic who also had teach me new foreign language, Czech language, which is quiet difficult to remember every word of it…hehehe….
Her name is Lucie, or Lucka, that’s how I call her. I have no direct relations with her project unless we were in the same umbrella of organization, IIWC, but she works with our partner ASA for street children. How we are engaged into friendship? Hehe…let only us know…

Anyway, she has an angel heart to still keep in touch with the street children here in Indonesia and help them in the future, though she could’ve been just leaving away all those memories behind without any tracks to line up after.

Instead of that, she creates a sustainable project to keep helping the street children in Semarang, especially Wulan who has a special talent and big eagerness to learn many things, by selling some jewelries made of natural materials such as stone, shells, etc.

Well, care to help Wulan for her future education?

Please visit this link and buy one of them which are partially made by Wulan by herself and mostly Lucka’s of course.

Lots of pictures to give you an image of how beautiful the jewelry they made. Help Wulan’s project…:)

International AIDS Day in Semarang

Soranbusi dance from Japan, performed by multicultural IIWC volunteers in the International AIDS Day, Semarang

Soranbusi dance from Japan, performed by multicultural IIWC volunteers in the International AIDS Day, Semarang

I was asked by volunteer friends who were having AIDS camp in localization of Sunan Kuning, to photograph the International AIDS day which was commemorated on 1st of December 2008, in Semarang. I photographed the climax campaign which was held by ASA (Aksi Peduli AIDS or AIDS Awareness Action) who are closely working with IPPA (Indonesia Parenthood Program Association).

The campaign sponsored by Griya ASA, ASA, KPA, Marimas, Pertamina, etc was the climax of the chain of activites in relation with Anti AIDS campaign that absolutely would not be ignored by the social and health activists and NGOs.

What they did on the days before were making a thousand flowers as a sign of sympathic to the day and gave them to the people on the street on the 1st December. They also collected signatures in small cards containing simple data of the people that stated they do aware to the virus and its danger to the people. The signatures collection was done in the Simpang Lima complex and the rest was done also in the Kalibanteng street side.

Well, back to the last biggest event, it was in Atrium Ciputra Mall Semarang on an open stage to attract mall visitors by having some art and culture performances until night falls such as accoustic music, live band, modern dance, theatre and culture exchange. Then IIWC was for sure did not leave this last moment.

Representated by Ismi (Indonesia, camp leader), Ann (Australia) and Haruka (Japan), plus three other IIWC volunteers who were also the members of AMSA (hmm…i forgot what the abbreviation stands for, but more or less is the organzation for medical faculty students), Indri, Aryo and Seto, performed a Japanese dance called Soranbusi, which was a symbol of a hard work of Japanese fisherman.

This is another specialization of IIWC, culture exchange! Not always literally interpreted as indonnesian and foreign cultures that must be exchanged in one place and time, but it is about how we respect the differences. That was what I saw, a Japanese dance performance which was done by multicultural people and then even they dragged some other audiences to learn together the dance on stage.

This is the unique, why the dance was chosen? Simply because it would be more attractive for the audiences who were most Indonesian, they never really watched it before. Secondly, was because the easy and simple movement that even a people who never dance they can do it in one time practice. Again, that’s what really happened on the stage!

These volunteers on stage only had short time to prepare a performance, they practiced only two time in two days, and what did they do on stage? Awesome flawless performance! And i think this was the most unique performance as long as I was there. Hmm…too bad that we didnt stay longer to watch the EMKA Theatre, they might be the same unique too…:)

Anyway , honestly, though i was a bit late to be there, but since the dance was repeated two times on stage I could finish my job as a photographer or I should say as a documentator. I will post the video as soon as the staff release it. Ciao!
